Our mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

About

BridgeValley PBL is affiliated with Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education association with a quarter million students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields.

Future Business Leaders of America - Phi Beta Lambda, is the largest student business organization in the country with more than 250,000 members nation-wide, including a growing international presence in countries, like China and Greece and areas like the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. It professionally develops members to succeed in business and unlimited professional environments.

FBLA-PBL is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and organized on local, state, and national levels. Business teachers, advisers, and advisory councils (including school officials, business people, and community representatives) guide local chapters. PBL emblem highlights Service, Education, and Progress which are staples in how we run our organization on all levels. State advisers and committee members coordinate chapter activities for the national organization.

At BridgeValley PBL, members participate in a broad range of projects and activities both on and off campus:

  • Professional development workshops
  • Networking events with business professionals and beyond
  • State and national conferences and competitive events
  • Community service
  • Committees

BridgeValley has two chapters of PBL, one on the South Charleston campus and one on the Montgomery campus.  Both chapters have had students recognized and awarded at national competitive events.

BridgeValley students can choose to become members of either the South Charleston or Montgomery campus chapters of PBL.
