What is FLL?

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is a robotics program guided by two or more adult coaches.  It designed for 4th-8th grade (ages 9-14) with teams up to 10 members. FLL teams research a real-world problem such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., and are challenged to develop a solution. This year’s challenge is Animal Allies.  The details will officially be released on August 30th at 12PM.  They also must design, build, program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS, and compete on a table-top playing field.

What is FLL Jr.?

FIRST LEGO League Jr. is a robotics program for students Kindergarten to 4rd grade (ages 6-10) in teams of 2-6, which is designed to capture young children’s curiosity and excitement surrounding science and technology -- and teach them valuable teamwork and life skills while doing something awesome!  The challenge features a real-world scientific concept to be explored through research, teamwork, construction, and imagination.
