BridgeValley Community & Technical College Earns The Military Friendly® Schools Gold Designation for 2022-2023

BridgeValley Community and Technical College (BVCTC) announced today that is has once again received The Military Friendly® Schools Gold designation for 2022-2023 from Victory Media, the leader in connecting the military and civilian worlds. Institutions across the nation compete for the elite Military Friendly® School title by demonstrating their dedication to serving military students and their families. BVCTC’s “Gold” designation means it scored within 10% of the Top 10 institutions and has demonstrated its dedication to providing better outcomes for the veterans attending the college.

Schools complete a survey of more than 100 questions covering 10 categories, including: Military Support on Campus, Graduation & Employment Outcomes, Military Spouse Policies and more. Responses are scored against benchmarks and data is independently tested based on weighting and methodology established by Victory Media and guidance from an independent Advisory Board of higher education recruiting professionals.

The designation is awarded to the top colleges, universities, community colleges and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace and accommodate military students and dedicating resources to ensure success in the classroom and after graduation.

“We want to do everything we can to help our students turn their military experience into success in college and – ultimately – into successful careers after graduation,” said Casey K. Sacks, Ph.D., President of BVCTC. “We keep raising the bar because we want to stay on the leading-edge of best serving this distinguished group of students,” she added.

According to its website, the Military Friendly® Schools survey is the longest-running most comprehensive review of higher education investments in serving military and veteran students. Over the years, this effort helped change the student veteran landscape, adding transparency, advancing best practices and empowering military students with objective information to find, compare and select the institutions that excelling with military and veteran students.

BVCTC will be showcased along with other 2022-2023 Military Friendly® Schools in the annual Guide to Military Friendly® Schools, special education issues of G.I. Jobs® and Military Spouse magazine and on MilitaryFriendly.com.
