QM Review Process

BridgeValley Online will review all established online academic courses on a recurring basis concurrent with program/discipline review to ensure a systematic collection and analysis of information to improve the academic integrity and currency of its courses (Policy No. C-OP-14-16).  This faculty-centered peer review process, which is designed to verify the quality of online courses and components, will take place under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer and auspices of Quality Matters (QM).  BridgeValley Online will first conduct and internal/information review.  This review will be followed by an Official QM Subscriber-Managed course review.

To meet quality expectations, a course must meet all of the Essential Standards (3-point standards) in the QM Rubric AND achieve a score of at least 84 out of 99 possible points. Faculty may request a fully annotated copy of the QM Rubric from Amanda McClellan ([email protected] or ext 56751). Courses that have successfully completed the internal review include the Online Quality Certified badge on the course homepage. A list of all of the successfully reviewed courses can be found here - Internally-reviewed QM courses.
