Paralegal Studies: 2+2 Programs

A 2+2 program allows students to complete their first two years of study at BridgeValley Community and Technical College and their last two years of study at an institution that offers baccalaureate degree programs.  A 2+2 program is advantageous because:

  • Typically baccalaureate degree programs charge higher tuition on a year-to-year basis than does BridgeValley and completing the first two years at an institution such as BridgeValley can assist a student in saving money on higher education costs -- even when the student decides to obtain a four year, baccalaureate degree
  • A student can have two degrees at the end of a four years period:  an associate degree from BridgeValley and a baccalaureate degree from a participating four year institution

Through a 2+2 program that the BridgeValley Community and Technical College has with the University of Charleston, graduates of BridgeValley's Community and Technical College are able to transfer all of the credits that they have earned while completing BridgeValley's Paralegal Studies Associate Degree program to the University of Charleston's Political Science baccalaureate program.
