Technology Division
The Technology Division at BVCTC offers areas of study in fields including mechanical,
electrical and alternative energy technology; advanced manufacturing technology –
fabrication or maintenance; cyber-security, and computer science technology - web
design or software developer; engineering technology – civil, electrical or mechanical,
gas measurement technology, chemical operations, diesel technology, process technology
and welding, which prepare students to achieve technological success in a professional
setting. Many of the programs are geared towards short-term career training or university
transfer and students benefit from hands-on training in state-of-the-art labs and
classrooms outfitted with advanced simulation equipment for a variety of programs.

Nursing & Emergency Services Division
BridgeValley’s Nursing Division prepares students to meet the needs of an increasingly
globalized and diverse world in healthcare. Programs in this division integrate scientific
knowledge with the fine art of caring and teach students high-level technical skills
and critical thinking in order to allow them to skillfully administer the best possible
nursing care to their patients upon program completion. Our partnerships with local
hospitals and healthcare providers mean you will have opportunities for clinical experiences,
internships and networking opportunities that can assist you with job placement.

Allied Health Division
At BridgeValley’s Allied Health Division, our mission is to empower individuals with
the knowledge, skills, and values needed to excel in dynamic and essential fields
such as Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Healthcare Management, Health
Sciences, Behavioral Health Sciences, Medical Coding, Medical Laboratory Technology,
Respiratory Therapy, Veterinary Technology, and more. We are committed to fostering a culture
of excellence, innovation, and community engagement, preparing our students to make
a positive impact on society and meet the evolving challenges of the healthcare and
public services sectors.

General Education & Professional Programs Division
The General Education & Professional Programs Division offers a variety of programs
leading to AA/AS degrees, certificates, and/or transfer to a 4-year college or university.
Students can also take classes to fulfill General Education requirements, prepare
for your major, and build career skills and technical education. Dedicated faculty and staff are committed to empowering students to find academic
success and meet their goals. Our instructors are passionate about their fields and
excited to be a part of your educational journey.

Workforce & Technical Education
The Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education Division at Hagerstown Community
College offers courses for those who may or may not be seeking a degree, but instead
want to upgrade their skills to begin or advance their career, need recertification
to maintain a license, start their own business, develop a new hobby, or simply learn
something new and interesting to enrich their life. High quality programs are taught
by experts in the field. Certificates of completion, continuing education units (CEUs),
and preparation for professional certification in many areas are provided.

WIN Academy
Introducing the Workforce INitiative – the WIN Academy – at BridgeValley Community and Technical College! A charter school that provides an accelerated, dynamic degree program for high school
juniors and seniors who are passionate and focused on education that will help them
start a career.
BVCTC accepts juniors and seniors in high school into this dynamic, accelerated degree
program. It’s designed to empower students to complete their high school degree requirements
and academic major program classes simultaneously. After high school graduation, these
students need just one more year to complete their associate degree. Graduates from
the WIN Academy have either chosen to transfer their college courses to other institutions
of higher education or have decided to complete their associate degree at BridgeValley.
