TRANSFERRING CREDITS TO BRIDGEVALLEY
BridgeValley accepts college-level undergraduate credit earned at regionally accredited
post-secondary institutions within the United States.
BridgeValley also accepts college-level undergraduate credit earned at non-regionally
accredited post-secondary institutions located in West Virginia, provided the institution
offers associate degrees or higher.
BridgeValley may also accept college-level undergraduate credit earned at international
institutions. To be considered for transfer, international transcripts must be evaluated
on a course-by-course basis by an approved third-party credential evaluation service.
BridgeValley accepts evaluations from all members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
Graduate-level coursework is not eligible for transfer to BridgeValley, regardless
of the institution's accreditation status.
In addition to traditional transfer credit, BridgeValley recognizes some non-traditional
credit, including Advanced Placement (AP) and College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) credit.
The application of transfer credit toward specific program requirements depends on
the student's program of study and whether BridgeValley offers equivalent courses.
Questions about how transfer courses will be applied to a specific program of study
should be directed to the academic division that administers the program.
