Introducing the Workforce INitiative - The WIN Academy -

at BridgeValley Community and Technical College

A charter school that provides an accelerated, dynamic degree program for high school juniors and seniors who are passionate and focused on education that will help them start a career.

About the WIN Academy Programs

BVCTC accepts juniors and seniors in high school into this dynamic, accelerated degree program. It’s designed to empower students to complete their high school degree requirements and academic major program classes simultaneously. After high school graduation, these students need just one more year to complete their associate degree.  Graduates from the WIN Academy have either chosen to transfer their college courses to other institutions of higher education or have decided to complete their associate degree at BridgeValley.

Academics & Curriculum

High school juniors will take college courses that will prepare them to enter the nursing or manufacturing programs as high school seniors.

During their senior year in high school, WIN Academy students will earn high school credits and community college credits while taking the first year of college program curriculum for through BridgeValley. The WIN Academy will offer accommodations and appropriate services to all types of learners.

Performance Standards

Students will complete assessments for each class they take using evaluation methods such as essays, tests, lab reports, clinical assessments, presentations, etc. At entry in the WIN Academy students are given a college placement exam, the Accuplacer.  This allows us to more effectively customize schedules to give students the content and support they need to be successful in their chosen program of study.

Student Enrollment

To recruit WIN Academy students, BVCTC will deploy a multi-tiered effort to reach potential students, parents and community members with information about the unique opportunities of the WIN Academy.
