CHARLESTON, W.Va. – BridgeValley Community and Technical College will join thousands of community members for Live on the Levee on Friday, July 24, at the Schoenbaum Stage at Haddad Riverfront Park, continuing the college's commitment to community engagement and student outreach.
The free event begins at 6:30 p.m. and features performances by Sasha Colette & The Magnolias and soul and R&B artist Allen Stone. Throughout the evening, BridgeValley will host a recruitment and outreach tent where prospective students, current students, alumni, and community members can learn more about the College's academic programs, workforce training opportunities, and student support services.
BridgeValley President Dr. Chris Treadway is scheduled to deliver brief remarks from the stage at approximately 7:30 p.m., highlighting the college's mission to prepare students for high-demand careers while supporting the workforce needs of West Virginia. Following his remarks, the BridgeValley team will host a free t-shirt toss for concert attendees.
"Events like Live on the Levee allow us to meet people where they are," said Dr. Treadway. "Whether someone is considering college for the first time, looking to advance their career, or simply wants to learn more about what BridgeValley offers, we're excited to be part of this community celebration and share the opportunities available through higher education."
BridgeValley's participation reflects the college's ongoing efforts to engage with communities across the region while increasing awareness of affordable, accessible educational pathways that lead to rewarding careers.
