Christopher Grady

Christopher Grady had a dream: to modernize his family's legacy business and carry it into the digital age. As the 5th generation of his family working at West Virginia Tractor Company, Christopher knew that bringing the company forward would require new skills—skills he could gain right here in his community at BridgeValley Community and Technical College (BVCTC).

Grady enrolled at BVCTC to pursue his Associate's Degree in Computer Science for Web Design, a decision that would transform not only his career trajectory but also his understanding of leadership and community engagement.

"I wanted to make a real impact on our family business," Grady said. "BridgeValley gave me the technical skills I needed, but it also taught me how to lead and how to give back to my community."

During his time as a student, Christopher didn't just focus on his coursework—he immersed himself in campus life. He started as Treasurer of the Student Government Association, where he discovered his passion for advocacy and institutional change. His fellow students recognized his dedication and elected him President, a position he held for two years. In that role, he represented students on the Board of Governors for BridgeValley and the Advisory Council of Students, helping shape policies that would benefit future generations of students.

To say he excelled would be an understatement. Christopher not only graduated with his degree but also gained invaluable leadership experience that prepared him for his current role as Vice President of Inside Sales at West Virginia Tractor Company.

But Christopher's connection to BridgeValley didn't end at graduation. Today, he serves as Alumni Chair, working to reconnect graduates with their alma mater and strengthen the institution's alumni network. He also continues to use his web design expertise as a member of Lee Jordan's team at Lee's Studio Productions.

"I absolutely would recommend BridgeValley to anyone looking to advance their career while staying connected to their community," Grady said. "The education I received gave me the tools to succeed, but the relationships I built and the leadership opportunities I had shaped who I am today."

Christopher's journey from student leader to accomplished professional and dedicated alumnus reflects BridgeValley's mission of transforming lives through education and community engagement.
