Help Make the Pumpkin Drop Happen
The Capital City Pumpkin Drop takes a team behind the scenes, too. Volunteers help welcome schools, keep the competition moving, support event activities, and create a great experience for participating students and educators.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer roles may include school check-in, team and participant assistance, competition support, crowd direction, hospitality, awards support, setup, and cleanup. Specific assignments and arrival times will be shared with volunteers before the event.

What Volunteers Should Know
- Event date: Thursday, October 15, 2026.
- Location: GoMart Ballpark, Charleston.
- School check-in begins at 8:00 a.m.; some volunteers may be asked to arrive earlier.
- Final volunteer assignments and instructions will be provided before the event
