Our HVAC & Refrigeration program blends the flexibility of online learning with structured, in-person instruction. Students gain real-world experience through classroom training and hands-on laboratory practice using industry-standard equipment.

Program Format

  • Hybrid learning: Online coursework + in-person training

  • On-campus labs and classes: Held two days per week, approximately 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

More About the Program

This program is designed for entry-level students pursing careers in the HVACR industries, as well as experienced technicians in need of upgrade training.  The program focuses on the basic operating principles of commerical and industrial HVACR systems.  A certification exam is offered for the EPA Section 608 Technician Certification.  Eligible students can attend this program for FREE with WV Invests. 

  • Students are only admitted to the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician program in the Fall semester each year.
  • Limited to 20 students each year.
