Introducing the Workforce INitiative for nurses and Advanced Manufacturing – the WIN Academy – at BridgeValley Community and Technical College (BVCTC)!
The Kanawha Valley’s newest charter school that provides an accelerated, dynamic degree program for up to 120 high school juniors and seniors who are passionate and focused on starting a career.
BVCTC will accept 60 juniors and 60 seniors into this dynamic, accelerated degree program. It’s designed to empower the 12th graders to complete their senior year of high school and their first year of a nursing or advanced manufacturing technology program simultaneously. After high school graduation, these students need just one more year to complete their associate degree and students are automatically enrolled in BVCTC’s nursing or advanced manufacturing technology program after high school to complete their degree. Nursing graduates are then eligible to take the NCLEX-RN to become a practicing nurse.
WIN Academy juniors will take college courses that prepare them to enter their program of study as high school seniors.
