About

This program will build on the student’s existing talents, skills, and gifts preparing them for healthcare careers beyond high school. Students are nurtured with the thoughtful support of BridgeValley instructors and partners. This program focuses on hands-on experience to learn high school curriculum and hands on nursing skills. Our ultimate goal is that students follow their dream of becoming healthcare professionals.

BVCTC accepts juniors and seniors in high school into this dynamic, accelerated degree program. It’s designed to empower students to complete their high school degree requirements and academic major program classes simultaneously. After high school graduation, these students need just one more year to complete their associate degree.  Graduates from the WIN Academy have completed their associate degree at BridgeValley or chosen to transfer their college courses to other institutions of higher education.

Students will learn:

  • Approaches to problem-solving, critical thinking, executive functioning, and social and emotional skills necessary for success
  • Health and wellness best practices
  • Current technologies in nursing practice
  • Hands-on learning
  • Simulation lab experiences
  • Best practices and strategies to address social determinants of health
