Phlebotomy Technician -
The Phlebotomy Technician program prepares students to collect blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Students will become familiar with all aspects related to blood collection and develop comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures completely and safely.
Following the completion of the classroom portion of the course, students will be scheduled for 120 hours of clinical practice at a local medical facility. After successful completion of both the classroom instruction and clinical practice, students are prepared to take their national certification exam.

Course Pre-requisites:
- To enroll in the class:
- High school diploma or TASC completion
- Prior to clinical practice
- Documented immunology records
- Criminal background check and drug screen
- Must be able to prove that COVID-19 vaccinations have been received prior to class start date.

Tuition & materials
- $1,955 (includes 50 hours of classroom instruction, 120 hours of clinical practice, textbooks, equipment, student uniforms, drug screening, background check, national certification exam, and all related materials)
- This class is approved for 4 hours of college credit; a posting fee of $35 per credit hour applies.
Financial aid:
- May be available for those who qualify
- Complete the FAFSA application and list BridgeValley as one of your schools.
- Then complete the application for the Workforce HEAPS grant.
