A: The Academic Calendar contains many important dates such as the deadline for adding, dropping, or withdrawing from classes (and school), the deadline to apply for graduation, college-observed holidays, etc.

A: The Academic Calendar contains the start/end dates for each part of term.
Q: Where can I find a list of available classes?
A: A real-time Class Schedule link is located at the top of the BridgeValley website. From within the Class Schedule link, you’ll be able to select a term and view class schedule information as it is available.
Q: Where can I find the final exam schedule?
A: The Final Exam Schedule for each semester is published on the Calendars and Schedules page.
COURSE REGISTRATION (Add/Drop/Withdraw)
Q: How do I add/drop/withdraw from a class?
A: You may request a change in Course Registration through your academic/professional advisor. For more information on this process, please visit our Registration page.
Q: How do I withdraw from school?
A: You may request to Withdraw from School through your academic/professional advisor. For more information on this process, please visit our Registration page.
Q: My account indicates I need to be readmitted to the school and it won’t let me register. What should I do?
A: You will need to reapply to the college before you will be able to register. If you need help with the application process, please email [email protected].
Q: Who should I contact if a hold is preventing my registration?
A: Questions about holds should be directed to the office that placed the hold. It is possible to have holds from more than one office and not all holds prevent registration. You can see your hold type within your MyBridge student portal.
DEGREE AND ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION
Q: How do I request a degree verification?
A: Your Official Transcript serves as a degree verification.

Q: How do I request an enrollment verification?
A: You may email your request to [email protected]. The request must contain your name, your school ID number, the semester in need of verification, and either an email address or mailing address where the verification should be sent. Visit our Enrollment Verification page for more information.

Q: I applied to BridgeValley, but never attended. Can you send my current school a letter of non-attendance?
A: We can assist you with this process. Please email your full name, date of birth, phone number, and your current school’s mailing address to [email protected]. Please do not email your social security number. If we need additional information to confirm your identity, we will call the number you provide in the email.
GRADES AND TRANSCRIPTS
Q: How do I initiate a grade appeal?
A: Before filing a formal appeal, you must meet with the instructor of the course to address the possibility of error, misunderstanding, etc. If you are unsatisfied with the outcome of the meeting, you may initiate a formal appeal. Visit our Grade Appeal page for more information.
Q: How do I request an official transcript?
A: Official transcript requests are processed exclusively by National Student Clearinghouse at www.getmytranscript.com. Visit our Transcript Request page for more information.
Q: How do I request an unofficial transcript?
A: Unofficial transcripts are available exclusively through your MyBridge student portal.
To request an account password reset, please complete the IT Helpdesk form on the MyBridge login page.
Q: When will I see my final grades?
A: Final grades are available within your MyBridge student portal approximately one week after the conclusion of final exam week.
Q: When will I see my transfer courses on my BridgeValley transcript?
A: Transcripts are processed in the order they are received. In many cases, you will see your transfer work within two business weeks after receipt. However, transcript volume increases significantly at the beginning and end of a semester and transcript processing may be delayed during those times. GRADUATION (Application/Degree Works/Commencement)
Q: How do I apply for graduation?
A: Applications for graduation are submitted exclusively through the online Graduation Application. Visit our Graduation page for more information on the graduation application and on our annual Commencement.
Q: When is graduation (Commencement)?
A: BridgeValley holds its annual Commencement in May. Commencement is a celebration of spring graduate applicants of the same year as well as summer and fall graduates of the previous year. For example, if you graduated in Fall 2023, you are eligible to participate in May 2024 Commencement. Visit the Graduation page for more information.
Q: Is Commencement attendance required?
A: No, but it is highly encouraged. Visit the Graduation page for more information.
Q: Where do I purchase my cap and gown (regalia).
A: More information will be made available at a later date.
Q: When will I receive my diploma?
A: Fall diplomas are typically mailed between February 1-15, Spring diplomas are typically mailed between July 1-15, and Summer diplomas are typically mailed between September 1-15.
Q: How can I get a duplicate copy of my diploma?
A: Duplicate diplomas may be requested through the Paradigm CeCredential Trust Portal.
Q: Who should I contact if there is an issue with my Degree Works (My MVDegree) audit?
A: You should contact your academic advisor to inquire about your progress within a program. If the issue is related to an unsatisfied requirement and the advisor feels an alternative course will satisfy the requirement, the advisor will request a course exception.
MAJOR
Q: How do I change my major?
A: You may request a Major Change through your academic/professional advisor. Requests must be submitted by the deadline published in the Academic Calendar to be effective for the same semester.
